About the DLC Tool
The DLC tool streamlines the SNFS configuration on a standalone K2 Summit system
by adding the IP addresses of the Control network ports of the name servers to the
FsNameServers file. You can download the DLC tool from the download site.

Installing the DLC Configuration Tool
Install the DLC Configuration Tool on the standalone K2 Summit system. You can
download the DLC Configuration Tool from the download site.
1. To start the installation, double-click the DLC Configuration Tool Setup icon on
the Windows desktop .
2. Follow the instructions in the installation wizard.
3. On the final page of the installation wizard, if you do not want to use the DLC
Configuration Tool immediately, click Finish .
The installation wizard closes.
4. If you do want to use the DLC Configuration Tool immediately, check the Launch
DLC_Tool box on the last page of the installation wizard, click Finish , and proceed
to Configuring the DLC server with the DLC Tool.
The DLC Configuration Tool opens.
Once the DLC Configuration Tool has been installed, the DLC Tool, as well as the
K2 AppCenter log on dialog box, displays.

Configuring the DLC server with the DLC Tool
• The DLC Tool must be installed on a standalone K2 Summit system.
• The K2 7.2.x software must be installed and configured as specified in the K2
Summit documentation.
• The file system name and storage disk labels on the K2 Summit system need to be
unique. For more information, see Creating a unique file system name and storage
disk labels.
• The network adapters need to be ordered as described in Ordering the network
adapters for K2 Dyno PA.
• Before using the DLC Tool, make sure K2 AppCenter is not running on the
standalone K2 Summit system.
• The Write Filter must be disabled before using the DLC Tool.
