File Operations

The Kalypso system has a file browser. You can browse through selected
folders on the local Kalypso Menu Processor hard disk, the Kalypso Video
Processor frame hard disk, the optional Kalypso Still Store hard disk, and
the entire network file hierarchy of mapped drives.

Features

The Kalypso file browser supports the following features:

Navigate through the C:\KalypsoUser folder on the local Menu Pro-
cessor hard disk, the Frame:C:\User folder on the Video Processor
frame hard disk, and access all mapped network drives including Zip
disk,

Save and Load User Prefs, Suite Prefs, Source Memory, Eng Setup,
E-MEM, R-MEM, Macro, and Still Store files,

Organize collections of files as Shows,

Sort files by name and type, and in reverse alphabetical order,

Create new folders,

Copy/Paste, and Delete files,

Rename files and folders, and

Select multiple files.

Introduction

Kalypso system files are saved to the location that has been navigated to
with the browser, creating copies of the information currently in use by the
Kalypso system. Files are copied from one location to another without
affecting the current operation of the Kalypso system. File information is
loaded to Kalypso system RAM, and this immediately affects the operation
and capabilities of the Kalypso system.

File operations are available from several menus (File Ops, Daily Setups,
Eng Setups, E-MEM, etc.). The same basic operating procedures are used at
each location.
