Field Replaceable Units (FRUs)

Over the life of the system, you may be required to replace either the power
supply or a drive. Both are hot-swappable, which means that you can replace
the part while the system is active, without powering down the system.

Replacing a Power Supply

While one power supply is inactive, the second power supply provides power
to the whole system. To ensure uninterrupted activity, replace the failed power
supply as soon as possible.

To replace a power supply:

1. Unplug the electrical cable to the power supply being replaced.

2. Unscrew the captive screw.

3. Pull the power supply by its handle.

4. Insert a replacement drive.

5. Tighten the captive screw.

6. Insert the electrical cable.
