Cooling Fan Replacement: 2A0343 and 2A0396

WARNING! Electrical Shock Hazard. Do not connect or disconnect wiring while the power is on. Failure to comply can result in serious

personal injury. Before servicing, disconnect all power to the equipment. The internal capacitor remains charged even after the power supply

is turned off. The charge indicator LED will extinguish when the DC bus voltage is below 50 Vdc. To prevent electric shock, wait for at least

the time specified on the warning label, once all indicators are OFF, measure for unsafe voltages to confirm the drive is safe prior to servicing.

CAUTION! Burn Hazard. Do not touch a hot drive heatsink. Failure to comply could result in minor or moderate injury. Shut off the power

to the drive when replacing the cooling fan. To prevent burns, wait at least 15 minutes and ensure the heatsink has cooled down.

NOTICE: Follow cooling fan and circulation fan replacement instructions. Improper fan replacement may cause damage to equipment. When

installing the replacement fan into the drive, make sure the fan is facing upwards. Replace all fans when performing maintenance to help

ensure maximum useful product life.

Removing and Disassembling the Cooling Fan Unit: 2A0343 and 2A0396

1.

Remove the terminal cover and front cover.

2.

Remove the fan connectors (CN6, CN7).

3.

Remove the screws holding the fan unit in place and slide the fan unit out of the drive.

CAUTION! Injury to Personnel. Use two hands to remove the fan unit. Failure to comply may cause the fan unit to fall, resulting in

minor to moderate injury.

Note:

Use a magnetized screwdriver when removing the screws to prevent the screws from falling.

4.

Remove the fan guard and replace the cooling fans.

Note:

Do not pinch the fan cable between parts when reassembling the fan unit.
