TROUBLESHOOTING AND MAINTENANCE

8.1 TROUBLESHOOTING

If problems occur at the initial installation phase, verify the unit is installed correctly and
the connectors are seated fully into the interconnecting equipment. Because this unit is
just one part of an overall system, it may be necessary to verify that the other equipment
types have been installed and are operating correctly before assuming the problem
exists with the HEGS5000 controller.

8.2 DIAGNOSTICS

During the 5-second boot period after the controller is powered up, the operator can
enter a code to test the joystick.

8.2.1 Joystick Test Modes

Press 2 during the 5-second boot period to enter the joystick mode. Move the joystick in
all directions. The values are displayed on the LCD display.
X = Pan, Y = Tilt, Z = Zoom

When the joystick is in the center position at rest, all values should be 150 ± 10.

Ranges:

X,Y = 110-190 +/- 10

Z = 100-200 +/- 10

To exit the joystick test mode, hold the VectorScan (

) key and the 1 key

simultaneously for 5 seconds.
