Moving whole track data

You can move whole data (from ABS ZERO to
REC END) of the desired mono or stereo track(s)
to the other desired track(s). After the data is
moved, the original track(s) is(are) silent.

<Note>

You cannot move track data of a song pro-
tected. Release the protection before moving
track data.

1) Load the song you want to edit.

2) While the recorder is stopped, press the [MENU]

key to enter the menu mode.

The display shows the menu selection screen, in
which "

System

" is highlighted initially.

3) Use the [CURSOR ] key to highlight "Track", then

press the [ENTER] key.

The display now shows the screen for selecting the
source track(s) and destination track(s) of the move
operation. "Source Track" selects the move source
track(s), while "Dest. Track" selects the move desti-
nation track(s).
The current position information is shown at the
top of the screen (shown in Bar/Beat base in the
screen example below).

5) Use the [CURSOR / ] keys to select source

track(s) to be moved.

You can select from among mono tracks (1 through
8) and stereo pair tracks (1/2, 3/4, 5/6 and 7/8).

6) Use the [CURSOR ] key to move the cursor to

the option for "Dest. Track".

7) Use the [CURSOR / ] keys to select the

destination track(s).

If you select a mono track for the move source in
step 5 above, you can select a mono destination
track. If you select stereo pair tracks for the move
source in step 5 above, you can select stereo pair
destination tracks.

8) Use the [CURSOR ] key to move the cursor to

"ENTER" on the screen, then press the [ENTER]
key.

The display shows "

Please Wait !

", immediately

followed by "

Completed!

" when the MR-8 completes

the move operation.

4) Use the [CURSOR ] key to highlight "Move Track",

then press the [ENTER] key.

The display now shows the track edit menu selec-
tion screen, in which "

Erase Track

" is highlighted ini-

tially.

<Note>

You cannot select the same track(s) for the
move source and destination.

<Note>

If you want to cancel the move operation,
move the cursor to "

[CANCEL]

" on the

screen, then press the [ENTER] key.
