7.7.2 Making the Connection at the ODU
The following procedure describes how connection is made at the ODU. It is often easier to
carry out this procedure on the ground or a suitable surface prior to mounting the ODU.
Ensure no power is connected to the PIDU Plus or present on the cable before connecting
the ODU.
Step 1: Assemble the cable as described in
5.7.1 above
Step 2: Insert the RJ45 connector making
sure that the locking tab snaps home
Step 3: Screw in the body of the weather
proofing gland and tighten
Step 4: Screw on the clamping nut and
tighten
