If the horizontal or vertical values are not within the printable
boundaries of the supply specified, you’ll see an error
message. You must go back and change the location or other
related options which affect the printing.
NOTE: If you choose to print the extended characters of a
bar code (number system digit and check digit), do
not locate the bar code within 0.15 inch of another
field or the edge of the tag. Without extended
characters, this restriction is 0.10 inch.
Do not use a vertical location of less than 0.065 inch
(1.5 mm) for serial bar codes. A vertical location less
than 0.06 inch could result in an invalid bar code.
Field Types
Format Entry Prompt:
Enter type of field: T
T)ext or B)arcode
Values: B = Barcode field
T = Text field
Prompted field types fall into two categories: bar codes and
text fields. Any prompted field that is not a bar code field is a
text field. For more information see "Bar Code Type" and "Text
Fields" in this section.
