To set the VCR to shut-off automatically after recording.

During Recording...

Press the VCR's REC button. The "ITR" indication blinks and
"0:30" appears indicating the recording will continue for 30
minutes and then power will switch off.

Press REC again to extend the record time by 30-minute
increments (up to 9 hours).
Ⅲ This function is available only using the REC button on the

VCR.

Ⅲ After the off-time is set, the display returns to the

previously displayed mode (counter, channel or clock).

Ⅲ You can check the time remaining before the VCR shuts off

by pressing REC once; the remaining time is displayed for
5 seconds. (Pressing REC more than once will extend the
record time.)

Ⅲ To prevent accidental recording on a recorded cassette, remove

its safety tab.
To record on it later, cover the hole with adhesive tape.

Hi-Fi Audio Recording Level Control

Your VCR allows manual adjustment of the Hi-Fi audio
recording level. Although the preset audio recording level is
satisfactory for normal recording, if the sound you are going to
record is too loud or too low, adjust the audio recording level
while referring to the VCR's audio level meters.

Press MENU, SET, and
SELECT as many times as
necessary to access the HI-FI
REC LEVEL CONTROL
screen. (

Press SET to choose "MANUAL".

Press FF or REW to adjust the
audio recording level.
Ⅲ To move the on-screen's audio levels by one division of the

scale, press FF or REW briefly for 5 times in succession.
To move the audio levels faster, keep FF or REW presssed.

Ⅲ Adjust the recording level so that the audio level meters

reach from 0dB to 4dB at the maximum sound volume.

Press MENU as many times as necessary to exit.

NOTE:

Ⅲ Noise will increase if the recording level is too low, while

distortion will increase if the level is too high.
