then press SELECT. The following screen appears:

Press SET to select either "ANTENNA" or "CABLE",
depending on the connection of your VCR.

UP screen reappears.

a Press SELECT, and scanning begins.
When the host station is located, the Guide Channel
settings for VCR Plus+ timer recording are performed
automatically. (Refer to page 15 of the HR-IP820U's
instruction manual.) Press CANCEL to quit the process.

b Press SELECT. The following screens appear:
Using the DIGIT buttons, input the lowest channel
number available on your cable box and press
ENTER. Then, input the highest channel number
available on your cable box and press ENTER to
initiate scanning. (To correct your entry before
pressing ENTER, press CLEAR. The right-most digit
will be deleted first.) (If you do not know the lowest
and highest channel numbers available on your cable
box, enter "1" for the lowest channel and "199" for the
highest channel number.)
When the host station is located, the Guide Channel
