Restoring Lost Data

One or more of the following messages may appear
during the procedure:
● If you press ENTER in step 2 without having
inserted a tape, the SEARCHING TAPE screen from
step
3 is followed by this message:
● If you mistakenly inserted a PR tape or a non-INDEX
Plus+ tape, after ejecting the tape, the SEARCHING
TAPE screen is followed by one of two messages:
Insert the correct tape.
● If the number of the inserted tape can't be read by
the VCR, the SEARCHING TAPE screen is followed
by this message:
Insert the correct tape.
●
If you insert several different incorrect tapes, or the
same one repeatedly, this screen follows the
SEARCHING TAPE screen:
Press CANCEL, then re-perform the procedure from
step
1 .
● If you inserted the wrong HR tape, the SEARCHING
TAPE screen is followed by this screen:
Insert the correct tape.

If the data could not be restored, the following
screen appears.
Press CANCEL, then re-perform the procedure from
