Either JPEG or MPEG4 can be selected as the image compression format.

Start up [V.Networks Setup Tool] and for the compression format, select JPEG or MPEG4.
For MPEG4, select [MPEG-4].

Preparations (Step 2 Setting the Network)

Set the frame rate for MPEG4 (30, 15 or
7.5).
For smoother display of images, set a
larger value.

Memory capacity can be checked.

Start up [V.Networks Setup Tool] and for the compression format, select [JPEG] or [MPEG4].

Check the free memor y space. The
memory capacity of VN-C10 is 8000 kB.

Caution

● With MPEG4, up to 4 clients can be connected at one time. If 5 or more clients are con-

nected, the message “The VN-C10U has not start the Streaming Service.” appears.

● In the MPEG4 mode with the frame rate set to 30 fps, image noise may appear momentarily

depending on the condition of the object. This is not a defect.

Set the bit rate for MPEG4 (64 to 2048).
For a better image quality, set a larger
value.
