• If the capacity of the built-in rechargeable
battery drops to half the normal amount,
consult your nearest Sony dealer or a Sony
service center.
• If the recorder will be unused for a long time,
remove the recorder from the USB cradle and
remove the AC power adaptor from the wall
outlet. If the recorder will be unused for 3
month or more, we also recommend that you
turn off the BUILT-IN BATTERY switch (for
built-in rechargeable battery).
On disposing of the unit
Before you dispose of the unit, remove the
built-in rechargeable battery for environmental
protection.
• Do not remove the screw except when
disposing of the unit.
• Before removing the built-in rechargeable
battery, make sure it is completedly drained.
Do the following procedure to remove the built-
in rechargeable battery.
1 Slide the BUILT-IN BATTERY switch to
OFF.
2 Remove the screw to the side of the jog dial.
3 Open the lid.
4 Separate the jog dial unit from the main body.
5 Flip up the battery connector.
6 Pull out the power supply cable from the
battery connector.
7 Pull out the power supply cable end to
remove the built-in rechargeable battery.
8 Attach adhesive tape over the metal terminal
on the power supply cable and follow to the
local regulations on battery disposal.
On the dry battery case
The supplied dry battery case is designated for
this recorder only.
On the MiniDisc cartridge
• When carrying or storing the MiniDisc, keep
it in its case.
• Do not break open the shutter.
• Do not place the cartridge where it will be
subject to light, extreme temperatures,
moisture or dust.
• Attach the supplied MD label only in the
space designated for it on the disc. Do not
stick it on any other disc surface.
