Taking Pictures with Program AE Mode

The shutter speed and aperture value are
set automatically according to the
brightness of the subject. The combination
of the shutter speed and aperture value is
the same as that of the AUTO mode (P28),
but also the settings listed below are
available. (It is not possible to set in AUTO
mode)

• When taking pictures in dark places, as the exposure time becomes longer and it

is difficult to stabilize the camera, the use of a tripod is recommended.

If the aperture value is not properly set, the color of the F and the shutter
speed values becomes red.
