Taking Pictures with Aperture-priority AE

When aperture value is set, the shutter
speed is set automatically according to the
subject brightness. If you change the
aperture value, as the changing involves
the background of the subject, you can
take a sharp or fade picture.

Set the REC mode dial to aperture-
priority AE [

].

Press 3/4 to set the aperture
value.

Take a picture.

• The recording method is the same as

in “Taking Pictures (AUTO Mode)”.
(P28)

• The available setting range of the aperture value is from F2.0 to F8.0.
• The aperture value can change according to zoom position.
• It is not possible to select ISO sensitivity [AUTO].
• If the aperture value is not properly set, the color of the F and the shutter

speed values becomes red.
