Timing During Testing
In some test modes, the timing source for the DSU
changes when the DSU is configured for a timing source
other than DDS. The following charts (
Figure B-1 ) show
the DSU’s timing for each step of the following tests:

Digital Test – Charts 1 or 2
•
Device Test – Chart 3
•
Digital Loopback – Chart 4
•
Test Pattern – Chart 5
The chart number is located in the upper left-hand
corner of each segment of Figure B-1 , above the name of
the test.
For each test, find the appropriate timing column down
through the steps in the test to determine the source of
timing changes.
NOTE
For Digital Test, the configuration
for both local and remote DSUs
must be considered.
