Inserting the SIM
card and battery

Your SIM card contains account
information such as your phone number
and voicemail access number. To use the
phone, email, or web features, the SIM
card must be inserted in your Treo 680.

NOTE

Your SIM card may already be

installed in your Treo 680. Follow steps 1–3
to check. If a SIM card did not come with
your Treo 680, you may already have one;
otherwise, Cingular Wireless will give you
one when you subscribe.

1 Use one hand to press the Battery

door release button and use your other
hand to slide the battery door
downward to remove it from your Treo
680.

2 If the battery is installed, remove it.

(See Replacing the battery for details.)

3 Slide the SIM tray out of the slot inside

the Treo 680. If the SIM card is already
installed, skip to step 6.
