3 Pre-observation/pre-operation preparation and inspection
Turning on power
Hold down the POWER button ( ) for at least 3 seconds to turn on power.
Display screen and menu operations become enabled about 3 seconds after the POWER button
( ) is pressed.
„ Turning off power
Hold down the POWER button ( ) for at least two seconds.
Checking the remaining battery level
When operating the instrument under battery power, an indicator in the upper right corner of the
screen shows remaining battery power. The table below shows general guidelines for remaining
battery power.
*1 Do not perform any image recording or deletion operation while this indicator is displayed. If power runs
out during these operations data could be corrupted.
Attaching the optical adapter

Positioning the optical adapter with the
distal end so they are directly opposite
each other, carefully insert the optical
adapter into the distal end.

Turn the optical adapter nut clockwise until
the first screw thread passes over the
connecting screw thread.

Once past the first screw thread, turn the
optical adapter clockwise while pushing
gently until it fits into the positioning cut
surface on the distal end and can be turned no
further.
Indicator Battery condition
Battery power is sufficient (100% to 60%).
Battery power is low (60% to 10%).

Battery power is almost depleted (10% to 5%).

Battery power is close to being depleted. Charge the battery or
replace it with a charged battery (5% to 0%).
