Installation and configuration of Android-based devices
Aastra Mobile Client installation and configuration alteratives:
The Aastra Mobile Client is delivered with two alliterative configuration options. If you
have received an e-mail or an SMS containing the "AMC user account key" information
your system administrator has chosen option 1 as follows:
Option 1:
1. Go to the Android market application in your phone and search for Aastra.
Select AMC (not AMC+).
2. Install AMC+ and start the AMC application.
3. Before you start the Aastra Mobile Client application for the first time, you
should have received an e-mail or SMS from the Aastra Mobile Client sys-
tem administrator with the "AMC user account key".
4. When you start the Aastra Mobile Client application for the first time you
will be prompted to enter an "AMC user account key" and mobile phone
number in international format. Please enter your information and wait
until Aastra Mobile Client has completely downloaded the configuration
data. When the configuration is done Aastra Mobile Client might tell you to
restart the application. In this case follow the instructions of your Aastra
Mobile Client.
Option 2:
1. You receive three or four 1) SMS messages on your mobile phone. The mes-
sages contain the download address, configuration data and licence. Open
the SMS message containing the download address.
1) Depending on the Aastra communication system the Aastra Mobile Client is used with.
2. Select the message that includes an internet address and open the linked
internet pages with the Download message command. Confirm the internet
access.
3. Follow the steps in the download wizard. Confirm the settings and begin
downloading via Agree and download now .
4. After downloading, confirm the software installation. Then launch the
installed software from the mobile phone’s user interface.
5. Please resend the configuration SMS from the AMC portal if the Aastra
Mobile Client not was started when the SMS arrived to the Aastra Mobile
Client user phone.
6. Aastra Mobile Client is ready for use.
