Overload protection for variable-speed units
Variable-speed units have a single-point power panel with fuses for protection against
voltage spikes. In addition, the controllers have inherent features that protect the unit
against:
• short circuit
• undervoltage
• overload
• motor temperature
• dead heading
• run out
• suction loss
• sensor fault
• bound pump
• overvoltage
• static discharge
