5.3

Changing the electrolyte and membrane cap

YSI delivers the sensor ready for operation. The electrolyte solution
and membrane head must only be replaced:

 the electrolyte solution is depleted or the counter electrode is

poisoned (log book message)

 after the gold working electrode and the silver counter electrode

have been cleaned

Note
Only unscrew the membrane head for maintenance purposes. After
doing so, always use a new membrane head!

If necessary, carefully dry the membrane with a lint-free paper
towel.

Also clean the flow-thru vessel.

Recalibrate the sensor (see section 4.2 C

ALIBRATION

).

Install the sensor again in the flow-thru vessel.
