TAKING OUT EXCESS PAPER

IN CASE OF OVERLOAD:

If the shredder has stopped due to an overload

(motor protection) take the excess paper out of

the inlet as follows:

1. Briefly turn the “cutting system reverse” switch

(2) (fig. 11) to position “R”. The cutting system

and the conveyor belt run in reverse. The mate-

rial is released and returned by the conveyor

belt.

2. Redistribute the returned material, or remove

some of it from the conveyor belt (12).

3. After allowing the motor to cool down for

approximately 10 minutes (depending upon

ambient temperature), the machine can once

again be started in the forward direction and

shredding can be continued (rotary switch (2)

(fig. 11) in position “1”).

MOTOR FAULT:

The shredder and the baler are equipped with

thermally protected motors. If this is overloaded,

the machine switches off. This is indicated by the

flashing lamp of the display “MOTOR FAULT” (5)

(fig. 11).

After a cooling period of approx. 10 minutes

(depending on ambient temperature), you can

restart the machine and continue shredding.

ELECTRICAL FAULT:

If the display (4) (fig. 11) is lit although all flaps

are closed, one of the built-in switch contactors

is no longer operational and the machine can

no longer be operated.

Switch the machine off at the main switch (1)

(fig. 11), disconnect the mains plug and inform

your specialist dealer.

CIRCUIT BREAKER:

If excess current occurs in the mains supply, the

circuit breaker interrupts the power circuit and

the machine is switched off.

Switch the machine off at the main switch (1)

(fig. 11), disconnect the mains plug and inform

your specialist dealer.

Always unplug the machine from the

mains power supply, turn off the main

switch and lock it with a padlock be-

fore opening the machine to carry out

any repairs.

CHECKLIST FOR FAULTS:

If the machine does not work, check the following

points:

- is the mains plug connected to the mains

supply?

- is the connection plug of the baler inserted

in the socket (19) on the shredder?

- is the actuator of the limit switch lock (20)

inserted in the limit switch on the baler?

- is the main switch (1) switched on?

- is the rotary switch (2) switched on?

- is there a paper jam in the machine?

Follow the instructions for “AUTOMATIC

RESPONSE IN CASE OF OVERLOADING”

- are the filler flap (24) and the ejector flap

(25) on the baler closed?

- is the cover flap (17) on the shredder

closed?

See description JAM OUTLET

- was the motor overloaded?

See description “MOTOR FAULT”

- has excess current occurred?

See description CIRCUIT BREAKER

- has one of the switch contactors failed?

See description “ELECTRICAL FAULT”

- has a phase failed?

Check the three phase fuses on the mains

socket and replace if necessary.

If you still cannot isolate the fault or

other faults are statable, the machine

shouldn’t be operated. Please report

to / notify our customer service de-

partment.
