Device configuration data, as it is synchronized. The new node prefix is validated against a list of valid
node prefixes. If it does not match, a pop-up window will appear which asks:

Unknown prefix specified, save anyway?

Click Yes to accept the node name as entered, or click No to return to the node names window to revise
the entry.

11.13.3.4 Replacing Multiple Node Name Prefixes

The second option in the node names window is Specify Replacement Node Names. This option allows
the creation of a list of specific translations from one node name to another.

11.13.3.4.1 Adding Replacement Names

Click Add to create a new entry; the Add/Edit Node Name window will be displayed.

Enter the original node name in the Old Name entry box (e.g., PWC1). Enter the name which will replace it
in the New Name entry box (e.g., PWC5). Click OK to complete the operation. Repeat this procedure for
each different node name you wish to be substituted.

The paired node names will be displayed in the Replacement Names list box in the Node Names window.
The old and new node names are verified against a list of valid node names. If no match is found when an
entered node name is compared with a list of valid node names, a pop-up window will be displayed, which
asks:

Unknown type specified - <node name>

Save anyway?

Click Yes to accept the node name as entered, or click No to return to the Add/Edit Node Name window to
revise the entry.

11.13.3.4.2 Editing Replacement Name List Entries

To modify a replacement name entry which as already been configured, click the entry in the Replacement
Names
list to select it, then click Edit. The Add/Edit Node Name window will be displayed.

Make the desired modifications, then click OK to complete the operation.

11.13.3.4.3 Deleting Replacement Name List Entries

To delete entries from the list of replacement names, click the entry, then click Delete. A confirmation box
will be displayed, which queries:

Delete selected entries?

Click Yes to delete the selected item, or click No to exit without deleting anything.

NOTE

Note that the entry boxes in this window are case sensitive.

NOTE

A node with the specified node name must be present on the
network in order for data to be sent to it for storage or printing. If an
invalid node name is specified, the data assigned to that node will
be unavailable.
