34 Micro-PWC Features

3.4.1.2.2 Show Available Services

Selecting Info Menu > Show Available Services displays a window similar to that found in

Figure 3-9

.

This window contains a read-only list of the services available on the node selected from the System Sta-
tus Display. This information is used by Technical Support personnel during troubleshooting. If a node
function does not work as expected, check this list to find out if the service is actually available on the
node. Note that each data transaction on the network is preceded by a code number identifying the service
associated with the transaction. These code numbers are shown in brackets preceding each item on the
list of available services. For example:

[0001] DBA

{0003] Screen Services

[0024] Process Summary Service

[0056] Event Bit Updates

3.4.2 Information for Specific Node Types

The following paragraphs describe the information shown on SSD objects which is specific to individual
notes types.

3.4.2.1 Console-Type Notes: Micro-PWC

The SSD object for a Micro-PWC is shown in

Figure 3-6

. The pull-down menu available from these icons

contains only the INFO item. (See the Micro-PWC Installation and Setup Guide for a detailed discussion of
the software installation procedure for the Micro-PWC.)

3.4.2.2 Micro-DCI Communications Node

The pull-down menu on a Micro-DCI Communications Node contains an Info item and a Super32 Network
Display
item. If the user has Supervisor 1 security level or greater, a Micro-DCI network configuration win-
dow can be called up by selecting the Super32 Network Display item.

3.4.2.3 The Utilities Menu

The Utilities option, located on the System Status Display menu bar, provides access to printer device sta-
tus information and printer control utilities.
