4.11.2 The AFC1100 BUS Unit front panel description.

FIG. 4-11-2 AFC1100 Bus unit layout

{ CNIO Connector.

Connected to the Axis I/O port.

{ TEIO Terminal.

This terminal strip connects the AFC1100 BUS unit to the PLC. The lines connected to this
terminal are wired directly to CNIO and connected to the CNOUT through the SW1 ~ 3
switches.

{ CNIN and CNOUT Connectors.

These connectors have the same pin configuration. The CNOUT connector is connected to
the CNIN connector of the next Axis unit.

{ SW1, SW2 and SW3 switches.

These switches determine which signals from one AFC1100 BUS unit are connected to the
next AFC1100 BUS unit. By enabling a switch, the corresponding signal will be connected to
the CNOUT connector and from there to the next AFC1100 BUS unit CNIN connector.

{ By disabling a switch, the individual signal for a single unit may be routed via the TEIO

terminal block directly to the desired connection point.

Example: SW 1-5 for BYPASS signals should be turned OFF when the individual bypass

signals are being connected to a PLC input.

{ AFC1100 BUS unit comes with 2 cables:

P AFC1100 - AFC1100 BUS cable. It connects the AFC1100 Axis I/O to the

AFC1100 BUS CNIO connection.

P AFC1100 BUS ribbon cable. Connects the AFC1100 BUS CNIN to the CNOUT of

another AFC1100 BUS unit.
