Rub-Rails: These accessories are available in Factory-installed and Field-installed types.
A.
Field Installed Rub Rail Installation:
•
Use the print with the accessory for actual measurements.
•
Clean (remove primer) the areas to be welded for good penetration.
•
Weld stiffeners to the side weldments.
•
Bolt the gussets to the stiffeners and end weldments.
•
Weld pipe to the gussets.
•
Clean and paint (paint provided) all weld areas.

Fairbanks does NOT recommend using foundation-mounted guide rails along the sides of
this truck scale platform. Damage may occur to the scale if a truck hits the guide rail,
transferring damaging force to the platform and the checking system.
Use of this type guide rail will void product warranty.
