3.2 Input Channel Numbers and Axes Numbers Handled with SEL Commands

Table 3.2.1 below shows the relationship between I/O channels of extension motion control boards

and input channel numbers and axis numbers handled by the SEL commands.

Caution

(1) Extension motion control boards are assigned to device numbers starting from 0 in the order of

extension slots in which they are installed, which starts from 1.

(2) If extension motion control board input channel parameter No. 1 “method of channel usage” is set to

“0” (not used), input channels are invalid.

(3) If extension motion control board output channel parameter No. 1 “method of channel usage” is set to

“0” (not used), axes are invalid.

(4) While numbering of the main CPU control axes starts from 1, numbering of extension motion control

board axes starts from 0. Be cautious not to get confused at SEL programming, etc.
