8. “FAX INTERRUPTED” or

“MUSE INTERRUPTED”
message is displayed.

1. Power

cycle

M Series unit and retry transmission.

2. Contact ZOLL Technical Service Department.

9. “FAX NO CARRIER” or

“MUSE NO CARRIER”
message is displayed.

Receiving phone line is not picking up or the sending modem is
experiencing problems. The M Series automatically re-transmits
until the transmission is successful or the M Series operator
presses the Abort softkey.

If retransmissions fail:

1. Check modem connection (card and extension cable) to

M Series.

2. Power cycle cellular phone.

3. If transmitting to a Catalyst MUSE system and multiple

Catalyst MUSE phone numbers are configured, press the
Abort softkey and transmit to an alternate number.

4. If transmitting to a Catalyst MUSE system, check that the

Catalyst MUSE system’s phone numbers are set up
correctly. See the ZOLL M Series Configuration Guide,
P/N 9650-0201-01,
for further information.

10. “FAX NO DIAL TONE” or

“MUSE NO DIAL TONE” message is
displayed.

1. Check modem connection (card and extension cable) to

M Series.

2. Check modem connection to phone jack or cellular phone.

3. Power cycle cellular phone.

11. “MODEM REQUIRED” message is

displayed.

No PCMCIA modem card present. Insert PCMCIA modem card
in upper slot and repeat transmission.

12. “MUSE CANCEL” message is

displayed.

The M Series operator pressed the Abort softkey or turned the
selector switch to Defib or Pacer.

13. “MUSE DATA NOT VALID”

message is displayed.

An overriding activity, such as an alarm situation, preempted data
in the process of being saved to the M Series unit. The data is
incomplete or corrupted.

Re-acquire 12-lead data and re-transmit.
