Remove the existing EPROM from its socket with an
IC extraction tool or a jeweler’s flathead screwdriver.

Carefully insert the new EPROM into the EPROM
socket. Make sure that the chip is oriented so that its
notch fits in the corresponding corner of the socket.
9.
Reverse steps 2 through 4 to reassemble the unit.
10. Power up the scanner.
11. Re-enter parameters.
Changing
Communications
To switch between EIA/TIA-232 and EIA/TIA-485, change
the jumpers as shown in Figure 5.5.
