OIL WELL PUMPING CONTROLS
With Delayed Start
8150 SERIES
APPLICATIONS
Provides for the ON-OFF scheduling of electric motors at 15
minute intervals, with an adjustable delay in energizing the
load circuit after power failure. For use with motors having
motor starters.
Particularly suited for oil-well pumping control. Upon
restoration of power after outages, pump motors are
sequenced ON to prevent overload, while the operating
schedule can be readily changed.
SPECIFICATIONS
Contact Ratings: Pilot duty start contact – 10 amps.
Maintained contact, SPST, 10 amps at 120 or 240 V AC,
5 amps at 480V, AC.
Timing Motor: Heavy duty synchronous, self-starting, high
torque. Power Consumption: 3 watts.
Delay Interval: Easily adjustable without tools from zero to
eight minutes by means of knob on front panel.
Automatic Operation: Minimum ON setting: 15 minutes –
Maximum ON setting: 23 hours, 45 minutes. Accommodates
96 permanent tabs, which cannot work loose or become
lost, each giving a 15 minute increment of either ON or OFF
operation. Tabs easily tilt in or out without tools to set or
alter switching programs. Dial markings in English, French &
Spanish.
Operating Temperature Range: -40° to +165°F. (-40° to
+74°C.)

General purpose (NEMA 1). Drawn steel, beige enamel,
with combination 1/2" – 3/4" K.O.’ s on top, sides, bottom
and back. Lockable hasp. Cover is removable and move-
ment releases from case at finger touch for easy installation.
SPECIFICATION WRITER’S GUIDE
The time switches shall be of the program type, capable of scheduling at
15-minute intervals of the day. Schedule tabs shall be captive on dial, and
shall be easily positioned by hand without tools to set or change the desired
programming schedule. The switching condition shall be maintained when
adjacent tabs are set alike. An additional adjustable delay will be furnished
to provide a delay in contact closure in zero to eight minutes after restora-
tion of power. The unit shall be powered with a self-starting, enclosed, 120
volt, synchronous motor capable of continuous accurate operation. The
switch mechanism shall be a self-contained unit rated at not less than 10
amps, 120 volts, single pole. The Time Switch shall be TORK Model 8150.
For 480 Volt 8150U, add: The unit shall be furnished with a built-in
480/120V transformer to operate timing motor. The Time Switch shall be
TORK Model 8150U.
