Standard Boot Order (IPL) menu
The Standard Boot Order (IPL) option configures the Initial IPL device and controls the search order
the server uses to look for a bootable device.
NOTE: If you enable or disable a device, restart the server. Changes do not take effect until after
reboot.
The following table describes devices and their default boot order settings.
Default boot order setting Device
Set the IPL Device Boot Order to 1 IPL:1 CD-ROM
Set the IPL Device Boot Order to 2 IPL:2 Floppy Drive (A :)
Set the IPL Device Boot Order to 3 IPL:3 USB Drive Key (C :)
Set the IPL Device Boot Order to 4 IPL:4 Hard Drive C :
Set the IPL Device Boot Order to 5 IPL:5 PCI Embedded Adapter Port 1
