Modifying, Repairing, or Removing HP 3PAR Recovery Manager Software
for Microsoft Exchange
CAUTION:
Back up your data before upgrading Recovery Manager or all data will be lost. See
“Upgrading to HP 3PAR Recovery Manager for Exchange” (page 20)
for instructions on performing
a backup.
To modify which features are installed:
1.
Log on as the System Administrator.
2.
Click Start
→Control Panel→Programs and Features.
3.
Select HP 3PAR Recovery Manager Software for Microsoft Exchange.
4.
Click Modify. The Program Maintenance dialog appears.
5.
Select the Modify radio button and click Next. The Custom Selection dialog appears where
you can change the way features are installed.
To repair Recovery Manager:
1.
Log on as the System Administrator.
2.
Click Start
→Control Panel→Programs and Features.
3.
Select HP 3PAR Recovery Manager Software for Microsoft Exchange.
4.
Click Repair. The Program Maintenance dialog appears.
5.
Select the Repair radio button and click Next. An attempt is made to repair missing or corrupt
files, outdated shortcuts, and bad registry entries.
To remove Recovery Manager:
1.
Log on as the System Administrator.
2.
Click Start
→Control Panel→Programs and Features.
3.
Select HP 3PAR Recovery Manager Software for Microsoft Exchange.
4.
Click Remove. The Program Maintenance dialog appears.
5.
Select the Remove radio button and click Next. HP 3PAR Recovery Manger Software for
Microsoft Exchange is removed from the system.
NOTE:
Removing the Recovery Manager installation will not remove the Recovery Manager
repository for virtual copy management.
NOTE:
If you remove a previous version of the HP 3PAR CLI as per the installer instructions then
uninstall HP 3PAR VSS provider also. The installer gives you the option to install HP 3PAR VSS
provider again. This step is mandatory, otherwise products that depend on HP 3PAR VSS Provider
(for example, Recovery Manager Software for Exchange or Recovery Manager Software for SQL)
might not function properly.
