All BC operations, with the following exceptions, can be performed in the Cnt Ac-S and Cnt Ac-J
secondary sites, irrespective of Cnt Ac-S pair status. The Cnt Ac-J delta resync pair’s status must
be HOLD or HLDE.
•
The Reverse Copy can be performed only when the Cnt Ac-S and Cnt Ac-J pair status is PSUS,
PSUE, or SSUS.
•
The Quick Restore can not be performed.
External Storage
If Business Copy is used with External Storage, you can create pairs to use the external volumes.

Auto LUN
The following Business Copy volumes can be assigned to Auto LUN migration volumes:
•
L1 primary volume with up to two secondary volumes.
•
L2 primary volume with one secondary volume.
•
Reserved volumes.
Business Copy pairs must be deleted and any reserved Business Copy secondary volumes must be
un-reserved before assigning or reserving those volumes to Auto LUN migration volumes.
Business Copy volumes cannot be used for destination volumes.
Migration, destination, and reserved volumes of Auto LUN cannot be used for Business Copy pair
operations. To perform BC operations, the Auto LUN volumes must be released first.
