Procedure 3 To run the consistency group pair-split

1.

Define a consistency group for the Business Copy pairs that will be split using consistency
group pair-split.

2.

Specify the consistency group pair-split option, then create the pairs.

3.

Split the pairs in the consistency group.

Pairs are split simultaneously.

Pair resynchronization

You resynchronize a pair that is split or suspended by the system. Resynchronizing updates the
secondary volume so that it is again paired with the primary volume.

CAUTION:

Resynchronizing the pair does not guarantee that primary volume data is the same

as secondary volume data. Data in the two volumes is the same only if the primary volume is offline
and the pair has been split and is in PSUS status.
