Operating system support

The following is the IO Accelerator Management Tool administrator console for IO Accelerators. The
following content shows you how to use the IO Accelerator Management Tool to maintain the IO

Accelerator at peak performance and troubleshoot any issues with the device.
The IO Accelerator Management Tool runs on both Windows® and Linux platforms.

Linux

The IO Accelerator Management Tool application supports the following distributions:

Red Hat Enterprise Linux 4 and 5

SUSE Linux Enterprise Server SLES10 and SLES11

Windows

The IO Accelerator Management Tool application runs on the following Windows® platforms:

Microsoft® Windows® XP Professional 64-Bit (with SP2 or higher)

Microsoft® Windows® 2003 Server 64-Bit (with SP2 or higher)

Microsoft® Windows® 2008 Server 64-Bit, all versions (with SP1 or higher)

Windows Vista® 64-bit, all versions

NOTE:

All operating systems must be 64-bit architecture to support the IO Accelerator.

Software installation

The IO Accelerator Management Tool console application downloads as part of:

Windows® Setup package

Linux HP IO Accelerator Management Tool installation package

Installing software using Linux

The Linux version of the IO Accelerator Management Tool is part of the package downloaded with the IO

Accelerator driver software. You can install it separately. This procedure installs the application
hp_io_accelerator_management_tool in /usr/bin alongside the command line utilities.
