Utilities 98
This utility is an SNMP sub-agent that implements the cpqIODrv.mib for the IO Accelerator driver. The
fio-snmp-agentx utility communicates with the SNMP master agent via the agentx protocol.
Syntax
fio-snmp-agentx [-c, -f, -l <log file>, -m, -s, -h, -v]
Options
• -c <config file>: Sets the configuration file to use. The file elements are described in the
following table.
NOTE: Use this option only to change the name of the config file. Do not specify a path. By
default, the config file name is fio-snmp-agentx.conf. The config file specified must
reside in one of these directories: /etc/snmp, /usr/share/snmp, /usr/ lib/snmp, or
$HOME/.snmp. HP recommends that you do not change the file name.
Field Setting Description
test_mode_enabled true/false Enables test mode (must be true to enable
the test-mode file) configuration.
testmode_file <filename> Path name of test-mode file. The default is
testmode.ini in the startup directory.
update_delay <msec> Sets the rate (in milliseconds) for polling the
driver for updated data.
traps_enabled true/false Enables traps (default=false).
• -f: Forces the sub-agent to run in the foreground instead of as a daemon.
• -l <log file>: Logs file to use.
• -m: Runs as the SNMP master agent instead of as a sub-agent.
• -s: Sends errors to stderr instead of to syslog.
fio-status
Description
Provides detailed information about the PCIe IO Accelerator boards installed. This utility operates on
either fctx or fiox devices. The utility depends on running as root and having the driver loaded. If no
driver is loaded, a smaller set of status information is returned. The fio-status utility provides
information about any installed PCIe IO Accelerator devices.
Syntax
fio-status <device> [-c, -d, -a, -h, -v]
where <device> is the name of the device node (/dev/fctx), and where x indicates the board
number: 0, 1, 2, and so forth. For example, /dev/fct0 indicates the first PCIe IO Accelerator installed
on the system.
Options
• -c Count: Report only the number of PCIe IO Accelerators installed.
• -d: Shows the basic information set plus the total amount of data read and written (lifetime data
volume). This option is not necessary when the -a option is used.
