Display modes while playing a DVD-VIDEO

While playing a DVD-VIDEO disc, the display mode
(except for the “DVD Player“ window) is 1024 x 768
dots and the number of colors is set to 256 (default
settings). This improves the DVD-VIDEO play
performance and shows pictures in high quality.
However, on the display of the “DVD Player“
window, you will see pictures in full color*.

* This is accomplished by the graphic accelerator using

dithering.
