Troubleshooting (continued)
The DVD-ROM drive is not detected by the
notebook computer or the POWER indicator does
not light.
cEnsure that the driver for the DVD-ROM drive is
installed (page 9).
cEnsure that the PC card is seated securely in the
PC card slot of the notebook computer.
cThe PC card slot pin may be bent or broken.
cEnsure that the PC card is connected correctly and
the notebook computer is turned on.
cCheck if the PC card is connected inside out.
No sound is heard during audio CD playback.
cEnsure that “Volume Control” on the notebook
computer is not muted. See the operating
instructions for the notebook computer.
No sound is heard during audio CD playback when
connecting analog audio equipment.
cCheck that the plug is securely connected to the
LINE OUT connector.
cThe “Volume Control” on the notebook computer
may be set too low. See the operating instructions
for the notebook computer.
cThe audio CD playback setting on the Control
Panel may be set to the digital audio CD playback.
No sound is heard during digital audio CD
playback.
cYour notebook computer might not support digital
audio CD playback. See the operating instructions
for the notebook computer.
cThe “CD Audio Volume” of the notebook
computer may be set too low. See the operating
instructions for the computer.
cThe audio CD playback setting on the Control
Panel may not be set to the digital audio CD
playback.
The sound skips during audio CD playback.
cThe disc may be scratched or dirty. Clean the disc
or replace it with another disc (page 27).
