Saving or deleting an image

Cause/Solutions

You cannot save
an image.

• Is the memory card

protected?

c Use your digital camera or external device

to release the protection and then try
saving again.

• Is the write-protect switch of

the memory card in the
LOCK position?

c Slide the write-protect switch to the write

enable position.

• Is the memory card full?

c Delete unnecessary images

memory card with sufficient free memory
space. Save the image again.

You cannot delete
an image.

• Is the memory card

protected?

c Use your digital camera or external device

to release the protection and try deleting
again.

• Is the image DPOF preset?

c Release the DPOF preset with your digital

camera.

• Is the image protected?

c Display the image preview view, and

check the detailed information display

(protect indication) is for read-only and
cannot be deleted from the printer.

• Is the write-protect switch of

the memory card in the
LOCK position?

c Slide the write-protect switch to the write

enable position.

• Are you using a “Memory

Stick-ROM?”

c You cannot delete an image from or

format a “Memory Stick-ROM.”

An image was
deleted
accidentally.

c You cannot recover an image once it is

deleted.

The “Memory
Stick” media
cannot be
formatted.
