Direction Settings - Binding Position
Select the binding position of the original when it has punched holes or is stapled. When a double-sized
original is scanned, the binding position is corrected on the back side.
6.3.4
Despeckle
Reduces the influence of a dirt of the slit glass upon the scanned image when loading an original in the ADF.
Reference

Specifying Despeckle will drop the scanning speed.

If the slit glass is too dirty, clean it. For details, refer to the "User's Guide [Copy Operations]".

Sets the binding position to the long side if the size is 11-11/16 inches (297 mm) or
smaller, or the short side otherwise.
Top
Select this setting if the original is loaded with the binding position at the top.
Left
Select this setting if the original is loaded with the binding position at the top.
