Setting the ASD indicator to enabled or disabled
The Automatic Shutdown function is available on Windows NT or Windows 2000 only. When
using another operating system, it is recommended that the ASD/Remote indicator lamp should
be disabled (turned off) by using the supplied ASD software package on the SST CD-ROM. If
you do not follow the steps below, the ASD indicator lamp will continue to illuminate orange.
1. Start the server in MS-DOS mode.
2. Insert the SST CD-ROM.
3. Change the current directory to:
<CD-ROM>\PUBLIC\UTILS\TOSHIBA\ASD
4. Execute the following commands to set the ASD indicator to disabled or enabled.
To disable the ASD indicator, execute:
RMASD
To enable the ASD indicator, execute:
RMASD ON
NOTE: The ASD/Remote indicator lamp is set to ON( factory default).
