Display a selected photo at full resolution
Do one of the following:

m

Choose View > Zoom to Actual Size (or press Z).

m

Click the Zoom Viewer button in the tool strip.

To turn off the full-resolution display, click the button again.

m

Double-tap with two fingers.
To turn off the full-resolution display, double-tap with two fingers again.
Note: Smart zoom must be turned on in the Trackpad pane of System Preferences. For
information about turning on smart zoom, see Help Center.

Pan a full-resolution photo in the Viewer
Do one of the following:

m

Drag the white rectangle that appears in the navigation box.

m

Drag the photo in the Viewer.

Zoom in to and out of a photo incrementally

m

To zoom in or out by single percentage increments: Click the right or left arrow in the Zoom
value slider.

m

To quickly zoom in or out: Drag right or left in the Zoom value slider.

m

To zoom in or out using keyboard shortcuts: Press Command–Plus Sign (+) to zoom in, and
Command–Minus Sign (–) to zoom out.

View original photos

When working with adjusted images, or versions, you may at times want to check what the
original photo looks like. Aperture can quickly display the original photo on which a selected
version is based.

Display the original photo for a selected version
Do one of the following:

m

Choose View > Show Original Image (or press M).

m

Click the Show Original button in the tool strip.
