Charging the Battery Pack

Approximate time required to fully recharge the battery pack:

• Full Recharge -8 hrs. - 120V AC

4 hrs. - 220V AC

• 80% Recharge - 4 hrs. - 120V AC

2 hrs. - 220V AC

• The batteries can be charged during machine operation,

(obviously the charging times in this case will be longer).

• The batteries can be charged when they are not fully

depleted.

• If the charge is less than 20% an audible warning signal

will be activated whenever the electric motor is started,
to alert the user to charge the machine.

• If the charge is less than 10%, in addition to the audible

warning signal, reduced speed is activated and an icon
comes on in position 4 on the platform station LCD dis-
play.

To start charging the battery connect the main AC power sup-
ply to the AC socket

(item 1 - photo) located on the right rear

of the machine next to the electric engine.

After a few seconds the charge indicator

(item 2 - photo)

located on the righthand side of the machine on the lithium-ion
battery pack turns red, meaning the battery has started charg-
ing.

OPENING AND HANDLING THE BATTERY PACK IS DANGEROUS.
FAILURE TO OBSERVE THIS WARNING AUTOMATICALLY VOIDS
THE WARRANTY. NEVER OPEN THE BATTERY PACK

• The battery pack works at peak performance and in safe

conditions with an ambient temperature between 68° F
(20° C) and 106° F (40° C). Using the battery pack out of
this temperature range may be dangerous.

• Avoid leaving the machine in sunny and badly ventilated

places for long periods.

• The battery pack is connected to the motor control via a

100 A fuse. The fuse may be replaced only by qualified
JLG trained personnel.

THE BATTERY CHARGER SUPPLIED WITH THE LIFT WAS DESIGNED
TO ENSURE SAFE AND RELIABLE PERFORMANCE. IT IS ALREADY
FITTED ON THE MACHINE AND DOES NOT NEED ANY ADJUSTMENT
OR CONFIGURATION BY THE USER; NONETHELESS, TO AVOID
INJURY AND DAMAGE TO THE BATTERY CHARGER, THE FOLLOW-
ING ESSENTIAL PRECAUTIONS MUST BE OBSERVED:

• Carefully read the installation instructions contained in

this manual. For future reference, keep the manual in a
safe place.

• Do not place the battery charger near sources of heat.
