TO AVOID CONTACT BETWEEN THE JIB AND OUTRIGERS, DO NOT
ATTEMPT TO MANUAL SWING WITH THE BOOMS AND JIB FULLY
LOWERED.

f. If no assistant is available, the grey cover on the

ground control station must be removed for access
to all valves.

g. Next swing the turntable inline with the chassis so

that the turntable and base indicator arrows are
aligned.

NOTE: This will eliminate the possibility of an elevated or

extended boom being positioned overhead of person-
nel at the pump and eliminate the risk of lowering the
jib onto an outrigger.

With the aid of an assistant, activate the swing control
lever, located next to the manual flow control valve, in
the desired direction of travel while pumping the hand
pump until the turntable is aligned with the chassis.

Activating the lever rearward while pumping will swing
the platform to the left.
Activating the lever forward while pumping will swing the
platform to the right.

2. Retract the main boom (if necessary).

With the aid of an assistant, while pumping the hand
pump, activate the telescope function lever (Item 7, Fig-
ure 5-2.)
at the ground controls on the opposite side of
the machine, to retract the main boom.

If no assistant is available, the valve tool must be
installed on the telescope in valve solenoid.

a. To activate telescope in, remove the black adjust-

ment knob tool on the solenoid and install the valve
tool on the telescope in solenoid (Item 7, Figure 5-
2.)
.

b. Pump the handle until the main boom is fully

retracted.

c. Remove the valve tool from the telescope in sole-

noid.

d. Reinstall the black adjustment knob on the solenoid.

3. Lower the jib.

With the aid of an assistant, while pumping the hand-
pump, activate the jib lift function lever (item 8, Figure 5-
2.)
in the appropriate direction to lower the jib.
