If no assistant is available, the valve tool must be
installed on the jib lift down solenoid.
a. To activate jib lift down, remove the black thumb-
screw on the solenoid and install the valve tool on
the jib lift down solenoid (item 8, Figure 5-2.).
b. Pump the handpump until the jib is fully lowered.
c. Remove the valve tool from the jib lift down solenoid.
d. Reinstall the black thumbscrew on the solenoid.
4. Lower the Tower Boom
With the aid of an assistant, while pumping the hand-
pump, activate the tower boom lift function lever (item 5,
Figure 5-2.) in the appropriate direction to lower the
tower boom.
If no assistant is available, the valve tool must be
installed on the tower boom lift down solenoid.
a. To activate tower boom lift down, remove the black
thumbscrew on the solenoid and install the valve
tool on the tower boom lift down solenoid. (item 5,
Figure 5-2.)
b. Pump the hand pump handle until the tower boom is
fully lowered.
c. Remove the valve tool from the tower boom lift down
solenoid.
d. Reinstall the black thumbscrew on the solenoid.
5. Lower the Main Boom
With the aid of an assistant, activate the main boom lift
function lever (item 6, Figure 5-2.) in the appropriate
direction to lower the main boom.
If no assistant is available, the valve tool must be
installed on the main boom lift down solenoid.
a. To activate main boom lift down, remove the black
thumbscrew on the solenoid and install the valve
tool on the main boom lift down solenoid. (item 6,
Figure 5-2.)
b. Pump the handpump handle until the main boom is
fully lowered.
c. Remove the valve tool from the main boom lift down
solenoid.
d. Reinstall the black thumbscrew on the solenoid.
6. Level the platform (if necessary).
With the aid of an assistant, activate the appropriate
platform level function button to level the platform.
If no assistant is available, the valve tool must be
installed on the appropriate platform level solenoid.

a. To activate platform level, remove the black push-
button on the solenoid and install the valve tool on
the appropriate platform level solenoid. (item 10, Fig-
