15. OPTICAL COMM

To make this optical communication function effectively, the setup must be done at the R-VIT. Please refer to

the installation manual for the R-VIT.

Optically Communicated

Monitoring Items.

（１）

It can communicate two items simultaneously with the SBC I-D boost controller by selecting the two

items wanted to be optically communicated.

（２）

When connecting the R-VIT with the SBC I-D, use a plate to align the optics.

※This function is effective only connecting with the R-FIT.

（３） Setting method

① To display the OPTICAL COMM MODE, select and enter [OPTICAL COMM] by scrolling up or down at the

MAIN MENU and press enter to confirm.

② After confirming, it will jump to the optical COMM set up screen.

③ Press ENTER again and it will select the item to communicate optically through CH1. (Above Fig. TACHO)

Press Up or Down to select the monitoring item to be communicated with the R-FIT and press

ENTER to confirm, then it will select CH1.

[⑱４ＷＤ %] and vice versa by

pressing Up.

⑤ After confirming the data to communicate optically on CH1, select CH2 by pressing Up or Down,

press ENTER to confirm and it will select the item to communicate through CH2. (Above Fig. THROT)

Pressing Left will go back to the MAIN MENU.

※CH1 corresponds to OPT1 of R-FIT, and CH2 corresponds to OPT2.

（４） Usually, the TACHO (RPM) and THROT (throttle position) are set to optically communicate with the R-FIT.

When the TACHO (RPM) is optically communicated, it is not necessary to input the RPM to the R-FIT from the

ECU using the attached harness.

If it is used as a monitor, it is possible to display all the data that can be displayed by the R-VIT at the R-FIT

but the maximum numbers of data items that can be optically communicated are two.
