16 • Connecting a GX-2009 to the User Setup Program
If your computer does not have a built in infrared port, place
the GX-2009 within an inch or two of the infrared port on the
IrDA adapter cable as shown in Figure 10 below, aligning the
infrared port on the top of the GX-2009 with the infrared port
on the cable.
3. Press and hold the
POWER MODE button on
the GX-2009 until you
hear a beep, then release
it. The GX-2009 will begin
it’s power up sequence
(see exceptions below in
step 4). If a successful
connection between the
GX-2009 and the
computer occurs, the
Connect Light in the
Status area turns green after a few seconds and
“GX-2009 . . . Connection Successful.” displays in the
Download State area. The following screen will appear on
