Set up the Software
Power Up the System
Power up the system if you have not done so already. Check the LED 
display on the processor. If your system is operating properly, the 
PROC LED should be steady red and the message 
“Processor RAM
is faulted. Press <Enter> to clear memory”
should appear on
the display. See the following table to proceed. If the PROC LED is 
not red, turn to chapter 4 for troubleshooting information.
If your keyswitch 
is in this position:
do this:
PROGRAM
Clear memory. The PROC LED should turn off. 
The software is in Program mode.
REMOTE
Clear memory. The PROC LED should turn off. 
The software is in Remote Program mode.
RUN
You see the message “
No access or
privilege violation
” because you cannot
clear memory in Run mode. Change the keyswitch 
position to Program or Remote and press <Enter> to 
clear memory.
