5.5 Test for Merge Area
Using a vehicle, drive a small vehicle in all areas of the merge area, Verify that there
are no dead zones. Verify that in all areas, the PLC LCD shows “Car in Merge Area”.
If not, determine if the issue is one of the following:
• A merge loop signal from one of the gates is not functioning or being sent
to Terminal 35.
• The merge area is not covered by merge loops completely.
