Install Drop Tubes (all Kits)
Start with the left-most row unit.
Note: Feeder cups may not be directly above the row unit
to which their hose connects.
Refer to Figure 46
124. Select one new:
816-358C SGS HOSE 122 RIBS
and two new:
800-321C HOSE CLAMP NO.12 3/4 ID
Note: The end of the hose with the shorter smooth
section is the top end.
125. Open a hose clamp and place it over the top
end of the hose . Move the clamp down to the
start of the ribbed section.
126. Slide the top of the hose onto the drop tube
of the fluted feed cup for that row, so that the hose
completely covers the straight portion of the exit
tube. Open the clamp and position it about
1 ⁄
4
inch (6 mm) above the bottom of the exit tube.
127. Open a hose clamp and place it over the other
end of the hose . Move the clamp up from the
end of the hose.
128. Slide the bottom end of the hose onto the top of
the delivery tube , so that it completely covers the
exposed portion of the tube. Open the clamp and
position it about
1 ⁄
2
inch (13 mm) from the end of
the hose.
Repeat step 124 through step 128 for each row unit.
